Giraffe's business consists of four main products:
Giraffe Cloud - the web based management platform
Edge Controllers - the PCB that goes inside each CCTV system
Mobile Security Units / CCTV towers - fully built units containing an Edge Controller.
Giraffe Care - mobile data services & managed IT support
The Giraffe Cloud cannot be used without Edge Controllers, but you can fit Edge Controllers to your own systems.
If you are a security company or an end user who wants a turnkey system that is ready to deploy, you need to look at our Mobile Security Units or solar CCTV towers. These have been carefully designed by Giraffe, can be customised for your specific use case and you don't have to worry about manufacturing.
If you are a manufacturer of CCTV products, you may be interested in our Mobile Security Units which can be fitted to your existing CCTV towers or solar poles with minimum fuss. If you design your own rapidly deployable CCTV products or CCTV towers, and you don't have your own software platform to control them, you may be interested in fitting the Edge Controller.
Integrating the Edge Controller is suitable if the following things are true:
you manufacture (or intend to manufacture) 25+ systems with Edge Controllers in them
the systems you build are all near enough identical (ie. you use the same camera model all the time)
you are prepared to work with us to modify your electrical design to be optimal for integration with the Edge Controller
your company has a high level of electrical and software understanding
Whilst the Edge Controller is extremely flexible and can be adapted to almost any situation, it is a complex product and there are a lot of moving parts. It is not viable to configure it for 'one off' builds due to the level of software integration and training required.
Giraffe have a huge amount of experience managing fleets of deployable devices. We can work with you two ensure your IT systems are in good shape to manage your remote CCTV systems and make remote support easy. We can also help you to massively reduce SIM card costs and remove the need for static IP addresses and port forwarding from the internet. We can do this as a completely managed service where we handle everything from provisioning to support.
Alternatively, we can just provide you with the parts you need, and work as an extension of your in house team.
