User permissions levels
Within the Giraffe Cloud, there are three different permission levels that can be assigned to a user:
Owner - one per team - can only be changed by Giraffe Support
Manager - several per team - can be changed by the owner or other managers
Member - several per team - can be changed by the owner or other managers
It is recommended that most users are added as members, with only those users who need to configure systems being given the manager role.
Owner
Functionally the same as a manager, the owner is the first user added to a team. The owner has full permissions over the team, including the ability to change settings/use features such as:
team members
schedules/alarms
system configuration
site management
video streaming, playback and export
Manager
The manager role has all the same permissions as the owner above. Remember - there is only one owner per team.
Member
A member is a much more limited user, and they are unable to edit any settings. They are able to:
stream video, playback recordings, view events and export footage
control cameras (such as enabling thermal streams, moving PTZ cameras)
active strobe/flood lights, and initiate audio talkdown etc.
