White label

It is possible for us to white label the app in your company branding.

In order to provide a branded copy of your app, the following are required:

  • Giraffe will need a copy of your logo, and the splash/loading screen (either a colour with your logo over the top, or an image of a tower etc.)

  • your company must have it's own developer accounts for Android and/or Apple app stores

  • Giraffe CCTV must be delegated access to publish apps on your behalf.

Logo requirements

The branded materials we require are:

  • a logo, which should be:

    • in png format, and at least 1024x1024px

  • an app icon (if different from your logo) to be shown in the app draw, which should be:

    • in png format, and at least 1024x1024px with a transparent background

  • a splash screen, which should be:

    • either an RGB code of a solid colour

    • or an image in png format which is at least 1024x1024px with a transparent background.

Please refer to the application frame work guidelinesarrow-up-right for more explicit information.

Creating developer accounts

You then need to sign up for app store accounts if you don't already have them. If you already have accounts, you can skip this stage.

The sign up links/processes are here for Applearrow-up-right and here for Androidarrow-up-right.

This will require proof of being a registered company. Giraffe is unable to do this on your behalf, as it requires authorisation on behalf of your company, which we cannot provide.

Once the accounts are created, we will need access to them, so that we can upload our rebranded version of the app. Please see below for more information on this stage.

Delegating account access

Once your account(s) set up is complete, you will need to grant access to our [email protected] email address.

Please provide us with an API key for automated deployments. We cannot proceed without this.

Android

Google outlines this processarrow-up-right, but we will need a user creating with sufficient access to the application you'd like us to white label. Please use the Release to production, exclude devices, and use Play App Signing role to ensure enough access is granted.

The Google documentation on creating an API keyarrow-up-right will cover how to create the API key, and grant our user permissions to access it.

Apple

The Apple documentation explains how to add a user to your Apple Developer accountarrow-up-right. Once our user is added, please restrict our account's accessarrow-up-right to just the app you wish for us to white label, and then assign our account the Developer rolearrow-up-right.

Once done, follow the Apple guidance on creating API keysarrow-up-right to create/delegate an API key for our account.
