Masking

A masked region can be setup on cameras to ignore any objects detected. This is useful for a camera that is partially covering a road or pavement.

This configuration can be found at: Settings -> Systems -> select the system -> Cameras -> select the camera -> Masking

• Multiple regions can be drawn on a camera to mask out separate areas.

• You can right click on a shape to delete it.

• You can click and drag a point to move it.

• When points are placed close to the edge of the image, they will 'snap' to the edge.

Don't forget to press Save after editing the masked region.

It takes a couple of minutes for the Edge Controller to synchronise with the Giraffe Cloud and run the latest mask. Be aware of this delay when testing whether the mask has worked or not.

You can check whether the mask has worked on the AI Preview on the Analytics tab.
