Overview

The Giraffe Relay board works with the Edge Controllers to provide remote inputs and controllable outputs.

The Relay Board communicates with the Edge Controller via ethernet.

It is typically used at the top of a CCTV tower or trailer, where you want to have the Edge Controller and router at the bottom and cameras, strobelights, flood lights and other accessories at the top.

Rather than running lots of wires from the bottom to the top, you can instead simply run power and 1 ethernet cable. The relay board then allows you to break this power cable out into multiple outputs at the top.
